Why is consular legalization for Slovakia necessary?

Step 1: Schedule an Appointment at the Embassy of the Slovak Republic in Hanoi

The Embassy of the Slovak Republic in Hanoi has announced the registration for appointments for high-level notarization of documents (consular legalization) in December 2024 or January 2025. Registration starts from November 15, 2024, at 13:00 local time until all available slots are filled.

Applicants must send their request via email to the Hanoi Office at: cons.hanoi@mzv.sk , including the following information:

  • Surname

  • Contact phone number

Note: Each registration request must be sent from the applicant’s own email, and you cannot request appointments for multiple people in one email, except for family members, in which case the relationship must be specified.

Step 2: Legalization at the Vietnamese Ministry of Foreign Affairs

Once you have valid documents, you must legalize the originals at the Consular Department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Hanoi or the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Foreign Affairs.

This authority will verify and confirm the signatures and seals of the issuing agency, then affix a legalization stamp to the document.
